Global Tier 1 builder Multiplex is working with BOSS Fire & Safety on the development and implementation of the high performance, game-changing FyreBox at the Capitol Grand in South Yarra. Multiplex is currently constructing the six-star integrated retail and residential development for LK Property Group.
When completed in 2019, the Capitol Grand will offer three levels of luxury retail topped by a sophisticated collection of residences above. The premium mixed-use project sets a new standard in luxury apartment living with six-star premium quality finishes featured throughout.
Multiplex has been working with BOSS Fire for over 18 months on the development and rollout of the Fyrebox in South Yarra’s newest luxury project. BOSS FyreBox multi-service cable and pipe transits eliminate the risk of non-compliant passive fire measures in tenancy fire walls while reducing labour and other scheduling costs across all 417 apartments.
BOSS Managing Director Mark Prior and Technical Manager Steve Lunn led the development of the FyreBox at the Capitol Grand. Mark explains that they have been working closely with Multiplex for 18 months on the development of the FyreBox, making sure all possible configurations were covered and approval procured for hydraulic, electrical and acoustic requirements.
Initial responses to the FyreBox at the Capitol Grand have been positive. By saving costs and eliminating risk, BOSS FyreBox offers distinct advantages over traditional fire-stopping methods. BOSS FyreBoxes will be installed in all 417 luxury apartments at the Capitol Grand.
