Capral Aluminium has opened an Architectural Design Showroom in Docklands, Melbourne to showcase a broad range of products that contribute to creating energy-efficient buildings.
This highly commended award-winning showroom (2015 AWA Design Awards) has been designed to provide a problem-solving experience to architects with innovative products such as Capral’s thermal break range (Futureline) and glazing systems capable of housing high performance glass.
A unique design feature in the showroom is the stripped-back look that allows architects to see the products in their natural form without complicated colours or cluttered backdrops. Natural timber ply, polished concrete, and exposed ceilings reduce the amount of artificial products being added to the space.
Another innovation is the automated lighting that turns on and off as the visitor walks through the space, creating a ‘spotlight’ effect on the product against the dimmed light background of the showroom.
