Checkpoint is helping to secure the safety of the New Footscray Hospital development located on the corner of Geelong and Ballarat Roads in Footscray, Victoria. The new $1.5 billion development will support the increasing demand from Melbourne’s booming western suburbs, ensuring families can get the care they need close to home.
"Building a bigger and better Footscray Hospital will cut wait times and reduce pressure on nearby hospitals. With an increase of nearly 200 beds, the new hospital will treat approximately 15,000 additional patients and enable around 20,000 additional people to be seen by the emergency department each year," the Victorian Government stated.
Checkpoint Group is protecting the site with 149 Cygnus first aid wireless alarms. This market-leader temporary first aid alarm offers heightened site safety, ensuring workers can be aware when an alarm is raised.
Featuring high strength signal and connectivity, the alarms can communicate despite signal interference and obstacles such as concrete and steel, ensuring workers are notified immediately in an emergency.
Checkpoint also supplied a loud evacuation siren, which alerts the site in an emergency with a loud voice evacuation message with tone. It interfaces with any Cygnus system.
