The Ribbon is a $1 billion commercial development in Sydney, NSW that will house an IMAX theatre as well as a 585-room luxury W Hotel, together with significant upgrades to the surrounding public realm and retail.
Checkpoint had the privilege of working with Heyday supplying 64 Cygnus nurse call and emergency alarm systems. These included integrated text and radio modules as well as a Cygnus control panel.
The Cygnus wireless alarm system was selected on account of its reputation as the most adaptable and reliable temporary mesh evacuation alarm system for use in the construction industry.
The Cygnus system can link up to 480 individual devices in 15 different zones. The tactical zoning method ensures optimal connectivity while minimising the probability of clashes, with each device acting as a booster device. Working as a self-contained unit, Cygnus wireless alarms are engineered for easy installation and uninstallation, offering convenient flexibility as the site progresses from the earliest stages of design and procurement, right through to project completion. The control panel automatically monitors the call points on site, checking for signal strength and battery.
