Rheinzink composite panels, now stocked by Craft Metals , are laminated metal and plastic composite panels that have been specifically engineered to provide a high bond strength and fire safety.
These panels are flat and lightweight, yet rigid and formable, and are comprised of two metal facings bonded to a 'Noryl' thermoplastic resin core. Catalytic fusion is used to bond the core and facings, a process which involves chemistry, heat and pressure rather than adhesives.
Rheinzink composite panels are suitable for a variety of applications, ranging from simple fascias to intricate curtain wall profiles, and also overcome a number of problems often associated with similar panels, such as:
- poor fire behaviour
- insufficient thermal stability
- limited rigidity; and
- adhesive delamination.
