Beaumaris North Primary School is a part of the Permanent Modular School Buildings Program, which is focused on the removal of asbestos from Victorian schools by the Victorian School Building Authority.
Inspired by the works of the mathematical Dutch artist Maurits Cornelis Escher, ARKit - Advanced Prefabricated Architecture utilised the abstracts from his work around the building facade as a tactic to engage with students.
This intriguing project won the Education & Research category in the Sustainability Awards and features Equitone tectiva facade panels in TE20. The natural colour differences of the tectiva panel accentuate the beauty of the design.
