Embelton Flooring has achieved Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) certification for two flooring underlay products.
The two underlays, Hush Platinum polyethylene underlay and ImpactaMat acoustic flooring underlay are both certified under GECA’s Floor Coverings standard, confirming their lower environmental, health and social impact.
Hush Platinum
A good quality, affordable, high density 2mm thick polyethylene underlay, Hush Platinum is recommended for most hard floating floor applications, including timber, bamboo and laminate. Featuring an integrated peel-and-stick design and lay flat technology, the underlay can be quickly and easily installed. A 0.6mm damp-proof sheet incorporated in the underlay eliminates the need for a moisture barrier, helping keep installation costs down.
ImpactaMat
Made from recycled rubber and bound together with a waterproof flexible binder, ImpactaMat achieves significant reductions in structure-borne noise as well as airborne or reflected noise in a room. Designed for easy installation, the versatile acoustic flooring underlay can be glued down or loose-laid underneath tiles, timber, bamboo, laminate or cork floors, concrete screeds and even carpet.
