Global leader in the design, manufacture and installation of state‐of‐the‐art tensile fabric structures, Fabritecture received three awards for design excellence at the IFAI and LSAA events.
Fabritecture attended the 2011 Design Awards for the Lightweight Structure Association of Australia (LSAA) as well as the 2011 International Achievement Award (IAA) for design excellence in speciality fabrics applications.
Fabritecture received two IFAI International Achievement Awards of Excellence for its Eagle Street Pier and Soul, Surfers Paradise projects. The projects were recognised in the competition’s Tensile Structures, under 600 Square Metres and Freestanding Structures, more than 112 Square Metres categories.
The awards ceremony took place at the IFAI Expo Americas 2011 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD recently.
A key highlight of the annual IFAI Expo Americas for more than six decades, IAA recognises excellence in design and innovation, highlighting truly spectacular work in the speciality fabrics industry.
IFAI received 385 entries from 16 countries this year and winners were selected based on complexity, design, workmanship, uniqueness and function.
Fabritecture was also recognised by the LSAA Design Awards for Excellence for the ITE College (West) project in Singapore under the category of Large Structures.
The Lightweight Structures Association is a not for profit, autonomous, inter‐disciplinary group that promotes the proper application of lightweight structures as well as their design, fabrication, construction and materials. The LSAA Design Awards had 26 entries in the 7 categories.
