Formula Interiors was able to minimise disruption during a demolition and refit project at Gadens’ operational office in Melbourne.
Formula was engaged to undertake the demolition and refit of Gadens’ front-of-house areas including reception, boardroom, client and internal meeting rooms, and library, while the office remained occupied and operational for the duration of construction.
Formula implemented a number of strategies to avoid disruption to Gadens’ operations. A temporary reception area and signage were constructed prior to the commencement of primary works, and hoardings to safely accommodate demolition works were also installed.
Additionally, Formula executed the levelling and grinding work on the substrata to prepare the floor for the new luxury finishes. This job requirement was discovered only during the removal of the existing floor finishes.
Formula completed the works outside of regular office hours and in two stages to minimise disruption to Gadens.
Julien Bain, Operations Manager at Gadens said that the fitout received excellent feedback and they were very happy with the outcome. Gadens also appreciated the minimal amount of disruption to the business during the project.
Located on Bourke Street, Melbourne, the project was executed in an area of 600 square metres over a period of 12 weeks. The fitout was designed by Graham Nicholas Pty Ltd.
