Primavera Systems, Inc . has announced that Thales, a global electronics company serving aerospace, defence, security and services markets, is deploying Primavera across all six of its global divisions. The rollout, which is ongoing across the Aerospace, Air Systems, Land & Joint Systems, Naval, Security and Services divisions, will provide the technology framework to create standard processes for management, viewing, and delivery of all programs and projects across the organization worldwide.
In a bid to achieve global standardization at Thales, Primavera will help the company manage schedules, costs, and workload on local and international projects of all sizes.
In the Aerospace and Air Systems divisions, the system is already being used on major programs such as Watchkeeper, a $1.2 billion Ministry of Defense contract to provide UK armed forces with an Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) capability.
Other large programs include Meltem in Turkey, a $389 million venture that involves supplying 19 maritime patrol and surveillance systems for Turkey's Navy and Coast Guard. In addition, Thales is now starting to migrate old programs over to the new system.

The global rollout is being handled by Thales’s own internal services company, Thales Services Co., which is also providing training and support, with assistance from Primavera. In addition, the Thales internal university is currently educating consultants on the Thales processes for project management, so that they in turn can train users worldwide on their best practices that rely upon the Primavera system.
