The GH Commercial team was tasked with delivering a great-looking, hardwearing and comfortable flooring solution during the refurbishment of the busy shopping mall, Malvern Central in Melbourne.
Featuring multiple speciality retailers, informal eateries and a David Jones store, Malvern Central is a village-style retail complex, which attracts a loyal inner Melbourne customer base that enjoys the high calibre shopping and welcoming atmosphere.
The brief for the flooring update sought a product that addressed both function and form. Fusion, a standout carpet plank from GH Commercial’s stunning {Choreography Collection} was the perfect choice. Fusion’s textured design in Jive, a practical dark neutral with contrast lineations, features a combination of the Sequence and Motion ranges, incorporating both vertical and horizontal lines to heighten the sense of overall space.
Installed in a herringbone arrowhead pattern below an ornamental central ceiling panel of timber parquetry, the right-angled configuration echoes the geometric decor influence for an aesthetic of timeless luxury.
Fabulous Fusion
The benefits delivered by Fusion carpet planks in a retail setting extend way beyond the clear visual appeal. Simple to install, they provide low maintenance flooring with excellent noise insulating properties, ideal for buffering the inherent clamour of a busy shopping environment. This precision engineering system facilitates the tailoring of specific projects, with clients free to customise Fusion’s highlight colours from the Spectrum colour palette for a genuinely bespoke result.
