Premium engineered timber flooring business, Havwoods Australia has announced their three Timber Tones of the Year for 2023, developed to inspire their customers for their upcoming projects.
Introduced this year, the concept includes a selection of three flooring tones, which represent Havwoods’ renowned quality and design focus while providing inspiration for the style preferences of their customers.
Each tone complements current design trends allowing customers to find the perfect match to their project, whether they’re using soft coastal accents, bright, bold colours or a classic monochromatic scheme.
The three tones were carefully chosen to offer three different styles they could resonate with: Mentone, Militia and Astoria.
Managing director of Havwoods APAC, Megan Pyziakos said they’re excited to be launching the Timber Tones of the Year to offer customers a curated experience with Havwoods.
“We pride ourselves on providing a unique, excellent experience to our customers when they come into our showrooms,” Megan said.
“Introducing the Timber Tones of the Year means our clients can select the perfect shade to create a statement in their project, or simply use them as a guide for the look and feel they’re after.
“We’re always looking for ways to share our passion, and this initiative is a great way to introduce our clients to our floors.”

The Mentone timber tone is the lightest Timber Tone of the Year, and takes cues from recent sartorial designs in Europe paired with the elements of our local surroundings that bring joy. Havwoods felt a strong connection to the tone and the fact it is sustainably-certified, chose to feature its wide plank format in their new Melbourne showroom.

The medium timber tone, Militia is a beautiful brown, sustainably-certified product from the Venture Plank range. It has a timeless appeal that complements a host of diverse interior preferences, from the monochromatic, to bright whites and bold furnishing colour choices.
Astoria from the Luxe Collection
Dark and mysterious, Astoria is the final timber tone, taken from the Luxe Collection. The sleek, dark shade amplifies the renowned Havwoods statement, without being overbearing. It’s available in three patterns: plank, chevron and herringbone.
Olivia Golding, Havwoods interior stylist and Sydney showroom manager said the selection of the inaugural tones was a difficult decision, with over 200 timber flooring products to choose from.
“When choosing the timber tones, we wanted to make a nod to world class European design, whilst maintaining the local Australian elements,” Olivia said.
“Most importantly, we wanted them to represent the Havwoods experience. These timber tones exist as the enduring base upon which long-lasting memories are built. They’re special, durable and ideal for our clientele, and we’re excited to see the projects our customers use these in,” Olivia concluded.
As with all their products, the Timber Tones of the Year have free samples to order online or larger samples available to view in their showrooms.
