Helioscreen Varioscreen retractable sun roof systems have been installed in 22 Giffnock Avenue, a large commercial building located in Macquarie Park, Sydney, joining the mounting number of commercial and residential projects that opt for sun roofs.
Designed by Rice Daubney Architects in conjunction with builders Taylor Construction, the building comprises seven commercial levels, two basement floors, and a café.
The ten motorised Helioscreen Varioscreen retractable sun roof systems, along with several floors of Helioscreen internal roller blinds, were manufactured approximately three weeks before the complex installation to the underside of the glass skylight.
These sun roof systems, which are automated and easy to operate with the touch of a button, provide a smart sun control solution for the glass skylight in the centre of the building.
“Working closely with the architect, we came up with the best method of installation using custom-designed brackets,” a representative of Helioscreen said.
“The end result works well and provides a perfect intelligent sun control solution.”
