THE annual industry convention for the peak body representing the hire and rental industry in Australia, the Hire and Rental Industry Association (HRIA) National Convention will be held 4-7 May, 2008 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. The theme will be “Hire Fever – It’s Contagious” and will tie the convention program together with the social program by highlighting different “fevers” each day. Monday will be Jungle Fever; Tuesday will be Cabin Fever; and Wednesday, which also features the industry’s annual awards at a Gala Dinner, will be Disco Fever. The Convention will feature a two-day trade exhibition; a conference and industry seminar program; and hands-on practical and functional displays at the annual Equipment in Action Day.
