Honestone put its best foot forward with the installation of cutting edge flooring solutions at Hype DC stores.
One of Australia’s leading specialist shoe retailers, Hype DC operates 40 stores across Australia. Honestone installed the polished cement floors at the Liverpool and Chermside locations.
With customers searching products from the ground up literally, it was imperative the brand sourced an eye-catching and contemporary flooring solution.
According to Honestone Director Rick Hendriks, Hype DC worked with Ardex’s Mark Zangari to come up with a contemporary and fresh design using a state-of-the-art grey panDOMO Loft product for the perfect finish.
The work included creating an entrance ramp, the entire shop floor and rear storeroom areas. The Liverpool store in Sydney had a floor space of 95m² while the Chermside retail outlet in Brisbane encompassed 110m².
The extremely tough flooring solution was ideal for the high traffic retail space. The 2mm product comes in 45 standard colours and can also be custom tinted to suit individual projects.
Mr Hendriks explained that they diamond ground and prepared the substrate for the entrance and the store, installing ramps into the shop out of A38 rapid cure engineered cement and laying panDOMO Loft over the top for the impressive finish.
Honestone also diamond ground to prepare the substrate for the storeroom at the back and applied a polyurethane sealer to protect the concrete.
Mr Hendriks adds that the type of finish used in the Hype DC stores is ideal for unlimited spaces including retail stores and showrooms, high end residential properties, shopping malls, restaurants, offices and commercial enterprises as well as schools.
