Available from Image Bollards , the Shock Absorbing Bollard (SAB) will simply shift sideways should it be hit at or near ground level.
Should the impact be higher up the bollard it will tilt up to 8 degrees, at which point it locks up to provide maximum protection. The shock absorbing bollard is also able to rotate through 360 degrees should the impact be a deflection or glancing.
Image Bollards’ shock absorbing bollards are supplied with hi-impact polyethylene protective sleeves which have been UV stabilised so that they will not fade, rot, rust or peel. Reflective strips add improved low light visibility.
SABs are suitable for use anywhere vehicles are manoeuvring at low speeds, such as car parks and warehouses. They are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, however, they are not recommended for high speed traffic environments.
Thanks to the self centering design, SABs are able to withstand repeated impacts without incurring permanent damage.
Shock absorbing bollards can be are available in a height of 1200mm and 140mm diameter in either core drilled in-ground or surface mounted models.
