K2Solar designed and installed an 80kW solar power system for a moulded plastics company to help reduce their energy costs.
Approached by injection moulders and toolmakers International Moulded Plastics, who sought to reduce their high annual electricity bill, K2 Solar designed an 80kW photovoltaic system utilising high quality ABB inverters.
Installed over a period of six weeks, the solar power system needed extra frames to secure against a strong southerly wind. The whole system will pay for itself over four years, at a saving of $25,000 per year in electricity costs.
