Locker Group supplied a perforated metal façade for Tabcorp Park, a state-of-the-art harness racing complex situated just off the Western Hwy, close to Melton, in Melbourne.
Designed by What Architects for the building as a unique and original feature, the façade would also function as a sunscreen to reduce sun glare and allow airflow.
Locker Group worked closely with both the architects and the construction company to create a customised pattern in perforated metal.
Locker Group designed a specific tool to match the architect’s desired pattern, and also supplied proofs and samples throughout the process to ensure all the stakeholders were happy with the final outcome. The perforated metal façade creates a stunning visual appearance for the building.
Installed by Qualified Constructions, the Tabcorp Park façade consists of over 300 custom perforated and cut aluminium panels in various sizes and featuring a gold anodised finish.
The unique perforated pattern combined with the stunning gold finish ensures the façade serves as an effective sunscreen while also being noticeable from the Western Hwy.
