MiTek Australia organised the final chapter of the fictitious plant ‘Get Trussed’ for Sydney Metro fabricators at the Rooty Hill RSL situated in the west of Sydney between Parramatta and Penrith. Over 20 guest fabricators were welcomed by more than a dozen MiTek staff at the conference.
Andrew Bricknell and Mark Smiles came up from Melbourne, Wayne Hondow made the trip south from Queensland and Peter Hutchison opened the proceedings with a welcome message for all participants. Presentations on various topics followed for the next five hours.
Tim Rossiter introduced everyone to ‘Get Trussed’ – a fictitious truss plant with real life scenarios and day-to-day challenges based on actual events. Mark Smiles and Bruce Wells then utilised the suite of MiTek business management tools, such as Profit Centre and a TPA, to help ‘Get Trussed’ make informed growth decisions.
The second part of the session focussed on SAPPHIRE with Richard Moulton bringing all up-to-speed on SAPPHIRE Management. Darren Campbell of the Truss & Frame Factory, Bathurst gave feedback on the use of SAPPHIRE Management at his plant with fabricators very interested to hear his insights. Darren emphasised the fact that he could now know the status of his business anywhere, any time.
Amanda Ling gave yet another example of the power of SAPPHIRE, comparing the same flooring job done on 20/20 with SAPPHIRE for Floors. This enabled guests to envisage how SAPPHIRE might improve their business day-to-day.
The conference presented an excellent opportunity for participating fabricators to learn more about SAPPHIRE Management.
