Moddex supplied three products for the recently completed refurbishment project at the Laidley Multipurpose Sporting Centre in Queensland. Jointly funded by the Australian Government and Lockyer Valley Regional Council, the $2.5-million project in Laidley QLD involved the addition of a new 225-seat grandstand, a 600-square-metre sports clubhouse, kitchen and canteen facilities, and storage rooms in Stage One. All the facilities were built above flood height and closer to the main sporting field.
Elements of the old grandstand were also incorporated into the new project in recognition of the historical value of the old structure within the Laidley community.
Moddex products/ configurations used on the project included Assistrail AR10, AR20 and AR45; Conectabal CB30; and Tredmaxx GLA310 stair nosing.
Working with Northbuild Constructions, Moddex supplied their range of galvanised handrails, which were a perfect fit for the application in terms of strength, compliance and cost.
