In a significant achievement for safety and compliance, Moddex proudly acknowledges being Tōtika certified. For Moddex, achieving Tōtika certification signifies more than just adding another Moddex certification to our collection and meeting industry standards; it reflects a rigorous commitment to excellence in every aspect of our operations. From design to installation, Moddex adheres to stringent quality control measures and health and safety protocols.

What is the Tōtika Scheme?

The Tōtika Scheme is a comprehensive Health & Safety Prequalification initiative developed and implemented by Construction Health and Safety New Zealand (CHASNZ). It aims to establish a uniform standard across all health and safety prequalification systems within the construction sector. Prior to the implementation of Tōtika, there was no common standard for prequalification, leading to a fragmented approach where suppliers had to repeatedly prequalify against different schemes and standards. This redundancy created inefficiency in the supply chain, consuming valuable time and resources.

Tōtika addresses this issue by providing a single, cohesive standard for health and safety prequalification. It ensures that all processes meet or exceed regulatory standards and undergo rigorous testing and assessment to guarantee their quality and reliability.

This standardisation enhances the overall safety and efficiency of construction projects. By adopting Tōtika, the construction industry can achieve greater consistency, reduce administrative burdens, and ensure that all contractors and suppliers are held to the highest health and safety standards.

What does being Tōtika Certified mean for you, as our customer?

Being Tōtika certified provides Moddex customers with the reassurance that we meet the highest industry health and safety standards. With a perfect score of 100%, this certification acts like a warrant of fitness for contractors, demonstrating our compliance and commitment to safety. This not only assures clients of our capability to fulfil mandatory requirements for RFPs, tender submissions, and procurement but also underscores our dedication to excellence.
