The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) has called for
nominations to various positions on the new WA chapter committee. Key positions
on the committee include President, Treasurer, Secretary, Events, Sponsorship,
Mentoring and Marketing & Communication.
A key objective of the NAWIC organisation is to promote and improve the
construction industry by advancing women stakeholders and providing a range of
services and benefits for members. Towards this, NAWIC runs an annual awards program
and various events such as seminars, networking opportunities and social events.
NAWIC Director Hayley McBride explains that joining the new WA committee
would provide members an opportunity to get involved with NAWIC and influence
its future. Committee members can also grow their professional network, plan
important events throughout the year and be part of a rewarding, community organisation.
The nomination form is available on the NAWIC website. Elections will be
held at 5.30pm at Lalla Rookh on 31 July 2014.
