Orion Solar Pty Ltd introduces one of the smallest and brightest solar LED lanterns featuring the new M550 marine lantern and the OL2A general purpose hazard marker.
Fifteen times brighter, three times the range and half the size, the new Orion Solar LED lanterns represent a major breakthrough in the design and manufacture of small format, solar powered LED lights.
Featuring optics that produce up to 29 cd (IALA peak, white) giving a range of up to three nautical miles and programmable for up to 40 flash patterns, the two new additions to the Orion Solar range come with a 3-year warranty, and can be installed in minutes with automatic ‘out of the box’ activation.
Originally developed and built under contract with the US Coast Guard, Carmanah marine lanterns were the first solar-powered lights to enter the US navigational aid system. The successors to this technology find use in a wide range of applications including marine navigation aids, masthead lights, dock lighting, obstruction marking, construction marking, barricade marking, tower and crane marking, general hazard lighting, bollard lighting, wayfinding markers, landscaping lights and haul road markers.
