Stamped concrete from Parchem Construction Supplies is a way to add colour, patterns and texture to a plain concrete slab. It is possible to create a number of different looks with stamped concrete. These include:
- Brick
- Slate
- Stone, for example cobblestone
- Wood, for example timber planks
The pattern is stamped into the concrete when it is wet at the time of pouring. The colour is also added at this stage. The stamp designs are then pressed into the concrete creating a modern, stylish and decorative finish. Natural textures, seams and faults are incorporated into the surface by means of the special stamping moulds making the whole effect much more authentic looking.
Applications of stamped concrete include:
- Carports
- Driveways
- Entertainment areas
- Paths
- Patios
- Pavement areas
- Pool surrounds
Stampcrete is a very popular stamped concrete surface finish. It has a two-toned colour combination which allows the client to tone and blend the concrete surface with the surrounding area. Stampcrete is low maintenance, durable and economical. It is also quick to apply and can double the abrasive and compressive strength of normal concrete.
DT Fauxtex is low maintenance and a two-tone effect can also be created using this product. This is achieved by using a base colour and a different coloured release agent. It is recommended that the base colour be lighter than the release agent as this will result in a more prominently looking two-tone effect.
