Pittella introduces a new range of luxurious handcrafted washbasins to their bathroom collection.
The new Ceramica washbasins come in three handcrafted benchtop designs – San Giuliano, Martino and Lorenzo – each with its own unique personality, yet bonded by a common Italian heritage.
With a shift in design trends to handcrafted statement products in interior projects, Pittella banked on their 40-plus years of expertise in artisanal Italian manufacturing to go straight to the town of Vinci, which is world renowned for this type of small scale production. Since the 16th century, this authentic Tuscan town situated on the outskirts of Florence has been recognised for beautiful handmade crystal, porcelain and ceramic pieces that grace the interiors of luxury homes throughout the world.
Pittella’s Ceramica washbasins are manufactured in ceramic, a very durable, hard and non-porous material resistant to heat and scratching. The basins in this range start their journey in a mould that guides the general shape, and are then turned by hand on a ceramic spinning wheel to further refine the sculptural object.
San Giuliano
The San Giuliano basin is emblazoned with a diamond pattern effect, giving it an embossed texture, which is further enhanced by a glazed finish. Available in Gesso White or Pistachio, the basin measures 450mm in diameter and 195mm from the benchtop.
Martino
Truly sculptural as it is practical, Martino features a unique wavy rim that hints at organic forms found in nature. This design is presented in a matte exterior finish and glazed internally for durability by the traditional method of a fire kiln. The basin measures 400mm in diameter and 170mm from the benchtop.
Lorenzo
The Lorenzo takes a minimalist approach with a fine and meticulously even circular rim, enhancing any contemporary application. It is also finished by fire kiln with an all-over glaze. The basin measures 410mm in diameter and 150mm from the benchtop.
Both Martino and Lorenzo washbasins are available in White Grey or Gun Metal.
