Hyundai Construction Equipment Australia introduces a new range of
breakers from Furukawa featuring a more compact and durable design with stronger
performance.
Distributed in Australia by Hyundai Construction Equipment, the new
Furukawa FXJ series hydraulic hammers raise the bar in terms of technology to enhance
their performance features.
Hyundai’s Light Construction Market Development Specialist John Peagram describes
the launch of the new breakers into the Australian market as a game changer. He
explains that the Australian market has long recognised the quality and
innovation of Furukawa breakers; the new range includes everything that is respected
about the brand and takes it up another notch.
Thanks to the advanced technology in the Furukawa FXJ series, the
hydraulic hammers display more breaking power, reduced noise and vibration,
less stress and wear for the carrier equipment, long breaker life and lower
maintenance costs.
The strength of the new generation of Furukawa FXJ comes from the
elimination of the separate cylinder, front head and through-bolts, reducing
the number of parts and their associated maintenance.
According to John, the mono-block design is lighter than the previous
model, and delivers higher impact energy, which means that the power to weight
ratio of the Furukawa FXJ series breakers has been increased significantly.
Key features of the Furukawa FXJ series hydraulic hammers include a new
semi-automatic grease type damper system consisting of a large volume top
damper reducing noise and vibration; new technology automatically adjusting the
system to correct tolerances; patent-pending three-point dust control system
preventing entry of dust into the hammer through the combination of a clean air
intake system, a replaceable dust wall and a toothed dust trap design; improved
piston design increasing contact area between piston and impact surface of the
rod for higher power output; new greasing system for even distribution of
grease to the thrust bushing, front bushing and rod pins; and new valve design
decreasing resistance and heat build-up in the hydraulic fluid for improved efficiency.
The Furukawa FXJ hydraulic hammer range includes four models and suits
excavators from 12 to 55 tonnes of operating weight.
The Furukawa FXJ series is backed by Hyundai’s leading parts and support
network.
