The Mineral Resources headquarters in Osborne Park, Western Australia sets the standard in offering the complete office experience for their staff. This world-class fitout features a gym, restaurants, crèche, and employee wellbeing areas among many other features you would expect in a modern office.

The challenges

  • Provide a stunning ceiling design that contributes to employee experience, and leaves a lasting impression
  • Superior acoustic control in all areas, with increased control in meeting rooms and on the executive level
  • Supply the product in a fast and efficient manner that met the very tight timeframes for completing this refurbishment

The solutions

The designers at Milieu Creative selected SAS740 linear baffle ceilings to provide not only a visual impact, but also the necessary acoustic control for an office environment. The design team included acoustic infill tiles to provide sound control, while adding to the aesthetic of the baffle ceiling area. The tiles are easily removable for access to services above for routine maintenance.

For the office areas of the building, the designers chose the SAS330 metal pan ceiling system in white (RAL 9003) with a perforation pattern of D3343. This metal pan tile provides seamless integration when the ceiling transitions to the SAS740 baffle ceiling, and into plasterboard. TRU-SH-150 shadow gap trim from SAS International was chosen for all metal pan ceiling-to-plasterboard transitions. This system was designed with custom sized tiles to fit the floor layout and also with a superior acoustic performance specification. The stunning finish on the metal pan ceiling tiles creates a clean aesthetic for a high performance office environment.

Our operations team delivered this project ahead of time, with coordinated deliveries to site and to the client’s storage facility.
