Louvre windows from Safetyline Jalousie met all the key requirements at an installation for Westfield Pacific Fair in Queensland.
The brief from Westfield Design & Construction sought louvre windows with the ability to be fixed open at a particular angle to allow consistent 30% airflow and provide ventilation in the case of fire; the flexibility to be custom built to meet the widths specified by pre-fabricated structural steel; and the need to be corrosion proof, due to the building’s location within a kilometre of the beach.
After assessing all options, Westfield chose Safetyline Jalousie motorised louvre windows with customised tamper-proof levers as the best fit for their project. Safetyline Jalousie’s ability to manufacture louvres spanning up to 1400mm allowed them to offer louvre widths ranging from 1000mm to 1200mm.
With Safetyline Jalousie louvre windows made from Aluminium, Zamac and stainless steel, combined with the use of high performance coatings on the aluminium frame, all concerns about corrosion were eliminated.
Safetyline Jalousie supplied 103 motorised louvre windows measuring 1279mm in height with 9 blades, and widths in a 1000mm – 1200mm range. The windows were powder-coated in Zeus Black Matt while the louvres were made from 6mm Enerytech grey toughened glass.
