Sound Barrier Systems has completed a two-year project that involved installing double glazing systems on all Tempe school classrooms, halls, and teacher and administration offices. This project was funded by the federal government as part of Sydney Airport Noise Insulation Programme.
During the preliminary stages, Sound Barrier collaborated with architects and acoustic engineers to perfect the customised design of appropriate aluminium framing and glazing to meet the varying styles of windows within the school.
Sound Barrier double glazing systems were proven to exceed design criteria expectations after acoustic testing of the completed installations. Tempe school students and teachers are no longer disturbed by the considerable noise of low flying aircrafts from Kingsford Smith Airport.
