SUPAWOOD’s adaptable acoustic panelling forms a striking ceiling feature in the staff hub of a corporate fitout in the Brisbane CBD.
It was essential for the designers, PTID, to address noise reverberation in the large open space as well as achieve an effect, which would break up the broad area of the 62m² ceiling. The lining product also needed to be suspended flush with the existing plaster ceiling and integrated with lighting.
SUPACOUSTIC adaptable panels offered the ideal choice of options and finishes plus SUPAWOOD offered a full design and construct service.
PTID was familiar with SUPAWOOD products and specified Supawood to the builder, Bodel Projects. As the reflective ceiling design involved various and multiple radiuses, thorough pre-planning and accurate sizing was conducted to ensure a seamless installation within a very tight deadline.
SUPAWOOD’s ready-to-install product and fittings, customised to exactly suit the design, and clear installation guidelines enabled an easy and on-time installation.
The product used is SUPACOUSTIC adaptable acoustic panels in a durable SUPAFINISH Hoop Pine. What makes this feature striking is the use of SUPAWOOD’s acoustic Bubble pattern, featuring random perforations.
This was the 5th fitout in this Eagle Street building where SUPAWOOD products have been installed.
Tim Bodel – Bodel Projects:
“It was a pleasure to deal with Supawood from the sales team to the production team; the installation of the system was made easy with simple instruction provided. We have no hesitation in using Supawood products in the future.”
