The ADFA Cadet Mess Hall in Canberra has undergone a stunning transformation, blending aesthetic appeal with superior acoustic performance. The refurbishment, designed by Capezio Copeland, utilised SUPAWOOD panels to achieve an exceptional project outcome.
SUPAWOOD supplied over 2,700m² of SUPACOUSTIC SUPAFINISH panels and bulkheads across three floors, more than 2,000m² of which were intricately preformed curves. This project demanded not only high-quality materials but also precise craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail.
Josh Sandvoss from Built praised SUPAWOOD's role in the project: "SUPAWOOD was very helpful and solved a lot of problems. Customer service and high-quality product."
Capezio Copeland's design for the refurbishment specified a combination of SUPAWOOD products: SUPACOUSTIC in SUPAFINISH for the flat surfaces and SUPACOUSTIC SUPALINE in SUPAFINISH for the curved areas, bulkheads, and ceilings.
These selections ensured that the design met both aesthetic and acoustic requirements, pushing the boundaries of conventional interior design.
The project’s complexity required exceptional support and expertise. SUPAWOOD assisted with product selection and shop drawings, and recommended installers, ensuring seamless integration of their products.
Elle Cobanov from Capezio Copeland commented on her experience, saying, "Very happy with the finished project; it looks awesome."
The success of the ADFA Cadet Mess Hall refurbishment was the result of clear design expectations and the use of high-quality materials. SUPAWOOD’s panels not only met but also exceeded the expectations, resulting in the visually stunning and acoustically superior space that was intended. This project showcases SUPAWOOD's ability to handle large-scale, complex designs with precision.
