The Australian Trellis Door Company supplied heavy duty
retractable security doors to BikeBiz, a leading motorcycle retailer in Sydney.
BikeBiz installed the heavy duty retractable security
doors at its renovated Guildford store in Sydney. This was preceded by another installation
of ATDC retractable security doors by leading motorcycle retailer, Fraser
Motorcycles at its William St Sydney store.
Australia’s largest Yamaha motorcycle dealer, BikeBiz represents
several world renowned motorcycle brands such as Kawasaki, Suzuki, Aprilia, Triumph,
Ducati, Harley Davidson and more. Seeking a solution to secure and protect
their premises and expensive stock, BikeBiz decided to install a heavy duty
security solution from ATDC for their large glass shopfront.
A key challenge for ATDC was to secure the large expanse
of the glass shopfront. The retractable doors also had to be concealed during
trading hours so as not to obstruct or dilute the visual impact of the prized
merchandise in the window.
ATDC’s solution entailed employing two different but
equally effective stack minimisation techniques with the retractable doors installed in a curved configuration on one side of the shopfront so
that the side stack of the doors did not protrude into the shopfront.
At the other end of the shopfront, ATDC ran the doors on a parallel top tracking mechanism to minimise the side compaction of the
gates.
ATDC’s security system installed at BikeBiz’s shopfront meets
every retailer’s specification by being formidable at night but invisible by
day.
