The Wagga Iron Foundry has designed a standard electric lamp post that resembles an old fashioned gas lantern on a lamp post.
Wagga Iron are also able to duplicate existing lamp posts and are qualified to design and manufacture lamp posts to specific customer requirements. They are accredited for the lSO9001 quality assurance standard that covers design as well as manufacture.
The overall height of the lamp post is about 3.90 metres, and the height to the 820 mm wide crossbar is about 2.75 metres.
The lamp post, which is hollow, has a power supply entry at the bottom and an additional access door can be installed on a flat face of the base.
The lantern frame is manufactured from aluminium and the bottom of the frame is open, enabling cooling air to flow in.
