A new blind system from VELUX (Australia) is designed to provide an attractive solution to skylight shading while helping to further reduce heat transference.
The Honeycomb Blind from VELUX Australia features an iconic honeycomb structure in a double layered pleat design.
Describing the Honeycomb Blind as ‘the most attractive blind on the market’, Stephen Parry, Technical Advisor, VELUX Australia explains that the blind achieves uninterrupted views on retraction by incorporating hidden cords and slim profile rails.
According to Stephen Parry, the Honeycomb Blind has a soft appearance, but is tough on light and heat. With its ability to block approximately 95% of light when closed, the Honeycomb Blind darkens a room to the extent of a soft glow, making it perfect for living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms.
Though VELUX skylights can block approximately 80% of heat from entering the living space, adding a Honeycomb Blind can reduce the remaining heat by 60%, creating a more comfortable experience.
VELUX’s Honeycomb blinds are available in white for the current models of VELUX skylights and roof windows in manual and solar powered versions.
