A Zip HydroTap was one of the appliances selected for a new kitchen designed as part of a complete home renovation that aimed to transform the family’s existing property into their forever home.
Designed by Darren James Interiors, the kitchen combines a modern layout with stunning textured appeal to create a central gathering space for the family. This Varsity Lakes residence in East Brisbane, QLD is a spacious two-storey building that boasts four living spaces as well as a large back patio and an in-ground pool. Owned by a family with young boys, the couple wished to stay in the neighbourhood and hence decided to renovate the property.
Utilising the existing footprint very effectively, the new modern kitchen was reconfigured to maximise practicality and functionality with a multitude of functional, under bench storage. The design is timeless with white cabinets interspersed with timber accents in the kitchen and laundry in addition to the solid walnut table and booth seating.
Several modern appliances were incorporated into the design including two ovens, a French-door fridge, Zip HydroTap, undermounted rangehood and an induction cooktop as well as a single Pitt wok burner to cater for the client’s love of traditional Chinese cooking.
A Zip HydroTap Arc instant boiling and chilled filtered water tap was specified for the kitchen. With its gooseneck shape and brushed nickel finish, it effortlessly fits within the aesthetics and functionality of the kitchen while complementing other fittings.
The family loves the ergonomic properties of the HydroTap’s buttons as well as its safety features that allow the adults to access boiling, filtered water with ease while ensuring safety for their young children.
The family is overjoyed with the new space, which has quickly become the hub of family living.
“We are extremely happy with the way Darren James Interiors has transformed our house. From the design process to the post renovation service, the team made sure all our requirements were considered and now our house is a pleasure to spend time in,” they said.
