The French Australian tandem has been recognised a fourth time this year at the coveted French Créateurs Design Awards for their Kissing Cabinet.

The Créateurs Design Awards (CDA), an internationally acclaimed platform celebrating excellence in design, architecture, and innovation, took place in Paris on 18 January at the Shangri-La.

Adam & Arthur is the collaboration between Australian industrial designer Adam Goodrum and French marquetry artisan Arthur Seigneur, and the duo has been nominated for their Kissing Cabinet in the Best Product Design category this year.

It’s not Adam & Arthur’s first accolade at CDA, as the designers have been nominated three times – in 2021 and 2023 in the Best Collection category as well as in 2025 in the Best Product Design one. They are the first and only Australian-based firm to win the prestigious award back in 2021.

"It was an incredible honor to be named a finalist for the Créateurs Design Awards. Jan from Tolarno and Arthur had an amazing night in Paris at the awards ceremony,” says Goodrum.

This year's CDA nominees reflected a global outlook of creativity, blending tradition with innovation, and the awards brought together the global design community to celebrate creativity, innovation, and excellence.

This year’s event attracted nominees from 29 countries, affirming its position as one of the world’s premier celebration of design, architecture, and culture.

In a thoughtful reflection on Lord Norman Foster's extraordinary legacy, Architect Lee F. Mindel compared the Créateurs Design Awards to the Oscars of the design industry.

"There is the Oscar, the Grammy, the Tony, the Pritzker, and then there is the Créateurs Design Awards," Mindel remarked. This sentiment captures the spirit of the evening,” he says.

At the heart of the ceremony were two prestigious honors: Lord Norman Foster, one of architecture’s most influential figures, received the Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award, a testament to his career-defining contributions to sustainable and innovative design.

Additionally, the legendary Japanese architectural duo SANAA (Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa) were awarded Le Prix Charlotte Perriand, recognising their minimalist yet profound approach to architecture that continues to inspire awe worldwide.

The ceremony welcomed a prestigious gathering of the design world’s luminaries, including renowned dignitaries, acclaimed architects, celebrated designers, and cultural icons making the evening a true convergence of global talent and influence.

The event also celebrated a stunning array of creative talent across 14 categories, highlighting exceptional achievements in architecture, interior design, product design, digital art, and more.
