ACO Rhinocast Trench Run by ACO Polycrete was specified for use in the utility trench designed to run cables at the Southern Cross University Gold Coast campus located in Coolangatta.
Services had to be run into a 10-storey building housing a stormwater management system at the campus. A utility trench was designed to accommodate cables from the adjacent sub-station to provide additional power to the internal storage tanks and pumps. The trench also needed to offer unrestricted access for maintenance.
Designers specified ACO’s 35-metre Rhinocast Trench Run (450mm width) with the cover and frame system also catering for the various bends along the trench route while being robust enough for the anticipated heavy wheel loads from service vehicles crossing it.
The ACO Access multipart system was also used in the application.
