The Decor Systems Experience Centre has been shortlisted for the Better Future Australian Design Awards 2025 in the Interior Design - Commercial category. The showroom had earlier won Silver in the Better Future Awards Sydney 2024 for the same category.
The Decor Systems Experience Centre combines a workspace with a showroom, and has been crafted with both customers and employees in mind. Showcasing Decor Systems' acoustic products throughout, the space serves as a dual-purpose hub: a contemporary workspace tailored for productivity and comfort seamlessly integrated with a showroom concept.
For their new office, Decor Systems sought to create a unified and expansive workspace, consolidating their warehouse, office and showroom under a single roof. Navigating the intersection of employee functionality and client experience, the challenge was multifaceted: As Australia’s leading architectural acoustic products supplier, the company wanted to design a space that facilitated collaboration and productivity for their diverse workforce and also served as an immersive showroom for their discerning design clients.
Integrating sustainability initiatives into the design presented an additional layer of complexity. The goal was to strike a harmonious balance, creating a dynamic environment that embodied Decor Systems’ ethos of innovation, environmental stewardship, and excellence in design. This challenge inspired the company to push the boundaries of traditional workspace design, resulting in the Decor Systems Experience Centre.
Designed in collaboration with Crest Interiors, the workspace blends form and function effortlessly. Leveraging their extensive range of acoustic products, Decor Systems has curated a modern working environment that caters to diverse needs and serves as an impressive showroom for their clients. This dual-purpose space showcases their products in a showroom setting, offering an immersive experience that underscores the company’s unwavering dedication to innovation.
Attached to the factory, visiting clients can witness the magic of local manufacturing in action, gaining an intimate understanding of their supply chain while experiencing first-hand the craftsmanship behind Decor Systems’ award-winning products.
In addition to the innovative design approach and sustainability initiatives, the Decor Systems Experience Centre boasts several key features that elevate its impact and functionality. Central to the showroom experience is the inclusion of Decor Systems’ award-winning Contours of Country range, honoured with a Good Design Award in 2023. This collection, featuring designs by Aboriginal artists, not only celebrates Australia's rich cultural heritage but also showcases the depth of creativity and craftsmanship inherent in the company’s products.

Better Future Australian Design Awards 2025 Interior Design – Commercial category
This award celebrates innovative and creative building interiors, with consideration given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes, aesthetic presentation and functionality. Consideration is also given to space allocation, traffic flow, building services, lighting, fixtures, flooring, colours, furnishings and surface finishes.
