High speed roll doors were supplied and fitted by DMF International in
an unusual application for KWN Trading, a manufacturer of speciality safety
equipment and fast print safety signs.
The client sought to seal a working area under a mezzanine floor,
housing specialised printing equipment. The solution not only had to ensure access
into the work area but also provide a reliable seal to protect the environment.
DMF designed three units of Series RL3000 high speed doors, with the
drive and roller system enclosed behind the front structural purlin to deliver a
very neat finished door system. The space on each side of the door was enclosed
using specially fabricated and powdercoated infills.
The rapid roll doors measured approximately 5m in width, and featured pushbutton
operation. The door’s width would allow movement of large products in and out
of the printing area, while providing a well-controlled operating area when
closed to maximise the quality of the client’s product finish.
KWN Trading Operations Manager David Kuo was very happy with the
function and appearance of the roll doors.
