Renowned home appliance manufacturing group, Glen Dimplex, is proudly commemorating 50 years of global excellence.
The Glen Dimplex Group has an impressive history, highlighted by a defining moment in 1977 when Glen Electric acquired Dimplex, a company that was ten times its size. Throughout the years, they have achieved remarkable milestones including the establishment of cutting-edge manufacturing centres in Australia and Canada, and the prestigious honour of receiving two Royal Warrants from the British royal family in 1955 and 1985 respectively.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, the Australian division gathered in Melbourne recently to reflect on the past five decades. David Woodward, CEO of Glen Dimplex Australia, acknowledged the achievements in the Australian market, attributing their resounding success to the exceptional efforts of their local team.

"In honour of this anniversary, we have launched several internal initiatives this year. One of these initiatives is our GLOW program, which encourages each of our brand teams to dedicate a workday to volunteering with a local charity. In Victoria, the team participated in the Knox Council 'Business Tree Planting Day' and received such positive feedback from the experience that we are already exploring ways to expand this initiative in the future."
On a global scale, 25 exceptional Glen Dimplex employees from teams around the world were handpicked to participate in an Executive Leadership Programme at the prestigious Trinity College in Dublin. This carefully crafted course was designed to nurture the internal talent of Glen Dimplex and foster integration and collaboration.
Founder's Awards: The Purpose Award Finalist - IT Team
Glen Dimplex also introduced the inaugural Founder's Awards, which recognised the outstanding contributions of employees across the entire global group. These prestigious awards were presented by the company's founder, Martin Naughton.
