Staircare Australia recently installed its SC6 stair nosing at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney. The Institute building contains two stunning circular staircases and the existing carpet began to wear at the edge of the steps and slipping was a major concern.
Staircare supplied and installed SC6 stair nosing clear anodised with black insert, fully complementing the existing stainless steel and glass balustrades. The black PVC anti-slip inserts provide visual contrast and excellent slip resistance.
Staircare Australia provided 44 x 1150mm and 132 x 1000mm SC6 stair treads for the project and all were installed as centre bars.
SC6 stair nosing is versatile and suitable for use on carpets and hard surfaces such as terrazzo, tile, steel and timber.
The aluminium base is anodised or powder coated in a range of colours including Black, Apeo, Pewter, Claret, Brown, Beige and Doeskin.
They also feature a PVC insert available in a wide range of colours including:
